조종두 교수님 인사말

  안녕하십니까?

   1992년 9월에 인하대학교 기계공학과 교수로서 강의를 시작하면서 담당 실험실을 '고체역학연구실'로 명명하였습니다. 고체역학은 기계공학분야의 3대 주요 기초분야(고체역학, 유체역학, 동역학) 중 하나로 역학의 모델링 및 설계시 매우 중요한 분야입니다. 본 실험실에서는 미국을 포함한 세계 고체역학 분야의 연구동향을 모니터링 하여 국내에 도입함으로써 Global standard의 격을 유지하고 동시에 고체역학 중에서 우리 연구실에서 지향하는 전문분야(여러 복합장과 연성된 고체요소의  해석)의 Global leader로써의 역할을 추구합니다.

   

  학문의 연구자세로 우리는 관련 산업체의 발전에 기여함을 최우선으로 합니다. 공학은 산업체와 공생 공존하는 데에서 의미를 찾을 수 있습니다. 따라서 산업체에 실용적으로 직접 활용 가능한 분야의 연구에 중점적으로 자원을 투자하고 있습니다.  연구의 방법으로 이론적 연구뿐만 아니라 전산해석적 방법과 실험적 방법을 병행하고 있는데 산업체의 기술개발 분위기의 변화에 따라서 현재는 실험:전산해석을 5:5로 진행하고 있으므로 본 실험실의 원래 전공인 컴퓨터를 이용한 해석방법의 개발 및 응용은 물론 실험적인 방법에 대하여도 많은 연구가 수행되고 있습니다.               

                                

   2020년 현재까지 우리 실험실에서는 박사 28명을 포함하여 133명의 석/박사급 고급연구원을 배출하였습니다. 졸업생과 재학생을 중심으로 현재까지 약230여 편 이상의 논문(SCI(e) 및 국내공인학술지, 국제기타학술지) 게재 실적을 가지고 있습니다. 또한 우리 실험실에서는 산업체 지원위주의 연구를 지향하여 1996년도에는 산업자원부장관으로부터 품질경영상을 수상하는 쾌거를 이룩하였습니다. 

  현재는 초정밀 해석 및 설계기법의 개발을 위하여 기존 Macro-mechanics의 연장선상에서 Micro-mecha-nics 부분을 접목하는 작업을 하고 있으며 최종 분류 분야로 MEMS, 기능성재료를 활용한 기계요소 설계, 유한요소법을 기반으로 하는 전산해석, 브레이크 등과 같은 자동차부품설계 등이 있습니다. 

  공학 연구의 분야는 산업의 발달과 함께 생명을 같이 하므로 고정된 좁은 분야일 수 없다는 신념을 바탕으로 우리 실험실에서는 가까운 미래에 산업체에서 유용한 기술의 개발,지원을 위하여 끊임없는 노력을 경주할 것입니다.

연구실 소개

  고체역학 연구실에서는 CAE를 바탕으로 여러가지 산업 분야에서 발생하는 문제를 예측하고 해결해 산업체에 솔루션을 제공하는 연구를 진행하고 있으며, Simulation 이외에도 최근 산업 트랜드에 맞춰 CFRP, 연료전지, 시험 장비 개발, 재료 물성 시험 등 고체역학에 대한 전반적인 분야에 대한 이론과 실험과 같은 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 현대자동차, GM코리아, 의과대학 종합병원, 자동차 부품사 등과 협력하여 연구를 진행하고 있습니다.
